Equality Objectives / Principles
At Stoberry Park we adhere to the following equality principles. Full details about each can be found in the policy below.
Principle 1: All learners, parents/carers, governors and staff are of equal value
We see all learners and potential learners, and their parents and carers, and our governors and staff, as of equal value.
Principle 2: We recognise and respect difference.
Principle 3: We foster positive attitudes and relationships, and a shared sense of cohesion and belonging.
Principle 4: We observe good equalities practice in staff recruitment, retention and development.
Principle 5: We aim to reduce and remove inequalities and barriers that already exist.

Principle 8: We base our practices on sound evidence and openness about the
issues that face us.
Principle 9: We formulate and publish specific and measurable objectives, based on the evidence we have collected and published (principle 8) and the engagement through which we have involved people from different groups (principle 7), in relation to:
• ethnicity, religion and culture
• pregnancy and maternity
• sexual orientation and gender identity.
