Doodle maths

My goal was to master all of my times tables during the summer holidays. On Friday I finally did it!

Gruffalo hunting

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying the start of your holidays. On Friday, I went to Westonbirt Arboretum with mummy and Eleanor. We went hunting the Gruffalo which was really good fun. We saw the squirrel, the mouse, the fox, the owl, the snake, the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo's child. We enjoyed a picnic for lunch and then an ice cream after all our walking, before we went home.

Farewell KS1...for now.

Dear KS1,

It’s come to that time where we wish you all a happy and healthy Summer holidays. It is sad that we haven’t been able to do the well wishes in person this year with so many of you but know from the contact we have had, that you are looking forward to it and rightly so.

Make sure you have some much needed timeout as a family and if you want to continue that little and often practice that you have handled so well, remember the Doodle apps and myON will still be available over the Summer. Perhaps you could make a bucket list of things you’d like to do over the Summer? Some of our favourites include: building a den in the woods, baking a cake, making hand and footprint paintings and building sandcastles. Whatever you do, make sure you have fun! smiley

We can’t wait to see you in September- perhaps a little taller, definitely a little wiser and without doubt with the big smiles we have missed so much!

Take care, be kind and enjoy the sunshine.

With love,

All of KS1 staff

DoodleMaths and happy holidays!

Hello,

So, to the final DoodleMaths charts for this academic year....

100 day streaks have been achieved by three children.  Well done to Georgina P, Edward P and Mahima K.

The year group with the most children in the green target zone is Year 4 for the second week - well done for maintaining this Year 4!  Esme A will be pleased!

Not surprisingly, the same year group have also earned the most stars in the last seven days - a total of over 2000.  Another big well done!

Please keep Doodling over the summer holidays.  It doesn't have to be every day, just a few times a week will help you avoid learning loss ready for September.  For those of you who do want to maintain streaks, every other day seems to be enough to do this.  DoodleMaths always lets me catch up if I accidentally miss just ONE day.

Year 6 - your logins will stay active until the end of August 2020 when you officially leave Stoberry so please make the most of the apps while you still have access.

Wishing you all a happy and safe summer holiday.

Best wishes,

Mrs Davis
